Madness In The Desert: The Lunacy Of Filmmaking

This is a Docu-Drama , ably directed by Aamir’s close friend Satyajeet Bhatkal. This is about the making of the historic movie Lagaan. The film very nicely captures the ups and downs, faced during the 138 days of shooting for Lagaan in Bhuj. Be it the slip disc problem with Ashutosh Gowarikar-the director, illness of A.K.Hangal-the senior actor or the light moments- all have been very aptly covered. The documentary runs close to two and a half hours, almost as long as the movie, Lagaan itself. 🙂
