  • Manzil Manzil : Directed by Nasir Hussain and released in 1984. The movie stars Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Dimple Kapadia, Sunny Deol, Prem Chopra, Danny Denzongpa. Aamir was the Assistant Director for the movie.
  • Zabardast : Directed by Nasir Hussain and produced by Mushir-Riaz released in 1985. The movie stars Sanjeev Kumar, Jayapradha, Sunny Deol, Rajiv Kapoor, Rati Agnihotri and Amrish Puri. Aamir was the assistant director.

Peepli Live

imagesPeepli Live is a 2010 Indian comic satire that explores the topic of “farmer suicides” and the subsequent media and political response.It is written and directed by Anusha Rizvi in her directorial debut, and produced by Aamir Khan Productions. The film stars Naya Theatre company member Omkar Das Manikpuri as well as Naseeruddin Shah, Raghubir Yadav, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Shalini Vatsa and Malaika Shenoy along with a number of newcomers. Peepli Live, distributed by UTV Motion Pictures, was released on 13 August 2010.
Peepli Live was India’s official entry for the 83rd Academy Awards Best Foreign Film category,however it did not get nominated.Box Office India declared it a “Super hit” in India.

Peepli Live began as a script written by NDTV journalist Anusha Rizvi called The Fallen. In 2004 Rizvi asked Aamir Khan to read her script and, although he initially refused as he was preoccupied with shooting Mangal Pandey: The Rising, he eventually decided to finance the film after she described the plot to him.In an interview, Khan explains the meaning of the movie title: “When we were looking for the right title before we began the publicity and promotions of the film, we came up with Peepli Live. Peepli is the village that film is set in, the “live” part is meant to indicate: here is a story that is happening in Peepli that the filmmaker is bringing to you live. That’s why it’s Peepli Live.”Peepli Live was filmed on various locations in Madhya Pradesh such as Bhopal, Indore, Tikamgarh, Khurai as well as in New Delhi. According to Aamir Khan, many of the actors are Adivasis from the sub-urban area of Bhopal, Bhadwai in Madhya Pradesh.Other cast members are from playwright Habib Tanvir’s theatre troupe Naya Theatre.

P.K. (Peekay)

(also spelled Peekay) is an upcoming 2014 political satire directed by Rajkumar Hirani,with Junaid Khan co-directing.The film stars Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma and had an initial projected release date of December 25, 2013.Delays in the filming schedule have pushed back the release date to an undetermined 2014 release.
Director Hirani has stated that the film will be a satire about “God and godmen”.

Hirani cast Sushant Singh Rajput after Kai Po Che director Abhishek Kapoor showed him Rajput’s rushes.Veteran actor Sanjay Dutt was also cast in the film, with an unnamed source saying that Dutt would be performing a pivotal role.Anushka Sharma, Ram Sethi, and Aamir Khan were all confirmed to be performing in the film, with Khan stated to be portraying lead character P.K.Arshad Warsi was briefly rumored to be involved with the film, which he later denied, stating that he while he had been offered a role in the film, he had turned it down due to scheduling issues.Rumors also stated that Hirani had approached Imran Khan, which Hirani also denied.

Aamir’s Dhoom – Dhoom 3: Back in Action

imgresDhoom 3 is an upcoming Hindi action thriller film, written and directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and produced by Aditya Chopra.It will be the third installment of the popular Dhoom series. Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra will reprise their roles as Jai Dixit and Ali Khan while Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif form the antagonist duo. Dhoom 3 will be released on 25 December 2013 in regular 2D and IMAX formats.

Aamir was signed on to essay the lead role and the antagonist, while Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra will reprise their roles as police officers.Katrina Kaif was signed as the lead heroine, starring opposite Khan. Khan and Kaif took up special preparations for their roles. Khan reportedly learnt ballet,aerobatics and French technique of parkour,a method of movement focused on negotiating obstacles with speed and efficiency, while Kaif took paragliding training and singing lessons.While Bachchan reportedly lost nine kilos of weight to prepare for his role in the film.Rimi Sen, who played the role of ACP Dixit’s wife in the previous two installments of Dhoom series, was not approached to play her character Sweety. However, in an interview she stated that she wouldn’t have done the role even if she were offered. John Abraham is said to have a cameo appearance in the film.Dhoom 3 will be directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya who is the writer of all three Dhoom films replacing Sanjay Gadhvi who directed the first two franchise of Dhoom.Stunt Director Olliver Keller was signed to direct the stunt scenes.

Talaash: The Answer Lies Within

vxTalaash: The Answer Lies Within is a 2012 Indian neo-noir mystery film directed by Reema Kagti and produced by Excel Entertainment and Aamir Khan Productions.The movie stars Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, and Rani Mukerji in lead roles and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Vivan Bhatena, Shernaz Patel and Raj Kumar Yadav in supporting roles.The soundtrack of the movie is scored by Ram Sampath, with lyrics written by Javed Akhtar.Principal photography of the film occurred during March–November 2011 taking place primarily in Mumbai, Pondicherry and London.The movie received a UA certificate from the Censor Board of India.The movie released on 30 November 2012.Box Office India declared Talaash as a “hit” in India and a “super hit” overseas.
