Aamir’s Cameo in CID

imagesAamir Khan, was seen as Inspector Shekhawat, in a short cameo, in the television serial CID.Though for last sixteen years the CID team has been diligently and successfully solving all the cases that have come its way, but for this serial killer, they needed help of someone special. That special is our Mr.Perfectionist Aamir.

Aamir, following the current trend of promoting the movie through TV serials appeared on the CID.This was for promoting his movie Talaash.
Aamir was seen solving the red suitcase serial killer mystery along with the famous CID team comprising ACP Pradyuman, Daya, Abhijeet,Salukhe and the rest.

Satyamev Jayate : Aamir’s Debut into Television

  • Manzil Manzil : Directed by Nasir Hussain and released in 1984. The movie stars Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Dimple Kapadia, Sunny Deol, Prem Chopra, Danny Denzongpa. Aamir was the Assistant Director for the movie.
  • Zabardast : Directed by Nasir Hussain and produced by Mushir-Riaz released in 1985. The movie stars Sanjeev Kumar, Jayapradha, Sunny Deol, Rajiv Kapoor, Rati Agnihotri and Amrish Puri. Aamir was the assistant director.

  • Damini – Lightning is a 1993 Hindi film directed by Rajkumar Santoshi starring Rishi Kapoor, Meenakshi Sheshadri, Sunny Deol, Amrish Puri, Tinu Anand and Paresh Rawal in lead roles. The story is of how a woman fights against society for justice. Aamir Khan acted in a very special appearance in the stage show dance song.
  • Pehla Nasha – This is a 1993 Indian film directed by Ashutosh Gowariker who made his directorial debut. The movie is a remake of Brian de Palma’s 1984 thriller Body Double. Deepak Tijori plays the lead role alongside Pooja Bhatt, Raveena Tandon and Paresh Rawal.Aamir has cameo appearances along with Shahrukh Khan, and Saif Ali Khan as themselves(both als. It is the only film to feature Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan in a scene together. Ashutosh Gowariker recently commented that it may also be the last time the three actors share screen space together.
  • Luck by Chance is a 2009 Indian drama film written and directed by Zoya Akhtar. Produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, it stars Farhan Akhtar and Konkana Sen Sharma in the lead roles.Aamir appears as himself in a short guest appearence.
  • Bombay Talkies is a 2013 Indian anthology film consisting of four short films, directed by Anurag Kashyap, Dibakar Banerjee, Zoya Akhtar and Karan Johar.Aamir appears in guest role as Aamir Khan(Himself)

Yadon Ki Baaraat : Aamir’s 1st flick with camera.

imagesYaadon Ki Baaraat (English: Procession of Memories) is a 1973 Bollywood drama film directed by Nasir Hussain. It starred Dharmendra, Zeenat Aman, Ajit Khan, Vijay Arora, Tariq, and Neetu Singh. The film became a box office hit.It is still remembered fondly for its soundtrack composed by music director R.D. Burman.
The track, Chura Liya Hai sung by Asha Bhosle and Mohammed Rafi, is particularly well-known. It was later remade in Tamil as Naalai Namadhe, in Telugu as Annadammula Anubandham and in Malayalam as Himam.

This was Aamir’s first movie,a short cameo as child artist -young Ratan.
